The ideal way to care for your embroidered Hockey Love toque: Hand-washing your toque is the best option. Fill a bucket or sink with cold water, add a teaspoon or less of mild laundry detergent, mix the soap in the water. Place your toque in the water and gently move it around for 5 minutes to remove stains and oils. Do not scrub, wring, or twist, just swirl 🙂 If your toque is heavily stained, massage the spot gently. Drain away the soapy water and fill the bucket or sink again with clean cold water. Swirl your toque around in the clean water, repeating this process until the water is clear. Place the toque between two towels and press to remove excess water. Lay your toque on a dry towel, reshape if necessary, and let it air dry flat. 

If you live dangerously and prefer machine washing 🙂: place the toque inside out in a mesh laundry bag and wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and lay flat to dry on a towel. Placing the toque in the dryer will likely cause pilling, so best to let it air dry flat.
